Johnson-Howe family papers, 1830-1846.

Papers of the interrelated Johnson and Howe families, 1830-46, include letters to and from Charlotte, Theodocia (later Howe), and Nathaniel L. Johnson of Dana and Enfield, Mass., and Elizabeth (called Eliza) Hovey Johnson of Boston and Cohasset, Mass.; original and manuscript copies of poetry; and an invoice to Theodocia for fabric and sewing materials. Letters pertain to daily life in Dana and Enfield, Mass., including Theodocia's teaching career, Charlotte's sewing, Nathaniel's store, and activities and social events of other friends and family.
